The Rosemary Jensen Bible Foundation

In 2017 Rosemary officially retired from her position as executive director of the Rafiki Foundation. But Rosemary never believed in truly retiring from God's work. She was soon elected president of Rafiki and served in this position until 2023 when she became president emerita. While serving as president, Rosemary announced her new project, the Rosemary Jensen Bible Foundation. The vision of this foundation is simple: "to place an appropriate Bible in the hands of every person in an African partner denomination who teaches the Bible or preaches in a church."

Over the years, Rosemary worked tirelessly to gather partners in this work. Notably, in October of 2017, Rosemary announced her partnership with Ligonier Ministries. In 2022, Crossway joined in the work. Together with its partners, the Rosemary Jensen Bible Foundation and the Rafiki Foundation have sent and distributed over 525,000 Bibles throughout Africa as of April 2026.

Along with the Bibles, the foundation sends commentaries to aid pastors and seminary students in their understanding and exegesis of God’s Word.

From an early age until she entered Glory, Rosemary had a singular aim in life. Whether in Africa or the West, she never ceased to give her life to the equipping of every believer with the knowledge to read the Bible better and ultimately to love God all the more.
